Poem: "Unemployment"

I'm gonna try a new direction for this blog. I am going to try writing a few poems a week. Here is the first one called "Unemployment":

At first it’s like a day at the beach…

The wind at your back

and an ocean of opportunity in front of you.

Then day after day

as the fear and inaction set in

tides carry the water

further and further away

and the sand pulls you in

until it’s up to your waist…
